As of September 2013 she started work as a Teaching Fellow in Banking and FinTech for the University of Sussex, Department of Business and Management

For the past year, she has been working as a researcher for Lancaster University as a part of a team for Academic Migrants at a Time of Institutional Flux project which is sponsored by the British Academy Small Research Grants.

Besides her research, she has extensive teaching experience as she has been an Associate Tutor at University of Sussex since 2009 teaching the Economics Department, the Business and Management Department and the Department for Engineering and Design.

For the last three years, she has convened and lectured the postgraduate degree course Financial Strategic Planning: Corporate Finance for the Department of Engineering and Design. This course is a part of the master’s degree programme for the engineering students.

Furthermore, as of 2010, she has been involved as a lecturer and seminar tutor in the Summer School at University of Sussex for the following courses: Financial Strategic Planning, Corporate Finance, Development Economics and Applied Statistics for Economics and Finance where she designed, coordinated and delivered these courses. She was also responsible for preparing SAS, STATA and Microsoft Excel workshops for these courses working in coordination with teaching assistants.

By way of international teaching experience, she was invited as a visiting international scholar at LICOS at the Catholic Leuven University.

Prior to starting her DPhil at Sussex, she worked as Consultant and Financial Analyst at Societe Generale-Corporate and Investment Banking and at Mercer Human Resource Consulting.

She was also awarded in 2013 with the BMEs Oscar award for the Best seminar tutor.

 

Qualifications

She graduated from University of Sussex and Warsaw University. During her education, she obtained two Master’s degrees in International Economics from the University of Sussex and Warsaw University. She completed her undergraduate degree in Economics from Economic Department Warsaw University where she analyzed M&A in banking sector including the European integration. She is the holder of several awards such as Postgraduate Scholarship holder of Erasmus-Socrates Programme at the University of Sussex, Second Prize for Competition of European Integration in the third session of Young Europe at Warsaw School of Economics and a motivation scholarship for best students at Economics Department in the University of Warsaw.
